Putting Together Your Treatment Plan

Traditional metal braces are great for correcting misalignment, however, Invisalign offers some benefits that you can’t find elsewhere. Your Invisalign treatment will be formulated to meet your unique needs and help you achieve the beautiful results that you’re dreaming of. We will begin putting together your treatment plan so that your aligners are comfortable and produce high-quality results. Here’s what you can expect.

A Discussion About Invisalign

The process of getting Invisalign will begin with your consultation. During this time, Dr. Bollin will examine your smile to make sure that you are a good candidate for this treatment. He will discuss your smile goals and expectations with you and answer any questions you may have about the treatment process.

Mapping Your Teeth's Movements

Digital impressions

During your consultation, a member of our team will take digital impressions of your smile. This scan is very accurate, and the three-dimensional image it produces is perfect for planning the Invisalign treatment. We will use this scan to create your roadmap to a straighter smile.

Fabricating Your Aligners

Once your treatment plan is in place, your customized clear aligners need to be created. They are made using an advanced three-dimensional printing process so they end up being the exact dimensions needed. The goal is for the aligners to fit your teeth but apply enough gentle pressure to gradually reposition them. The aligners can be trimmed along the gumline if needed so they don’t rub against and irritate your soft tissue.

Beginning Your Treatment

As soon as we receive your aligners, you can come to the practice to pick them up. We will show you the best way to put in and take out your aligners. Then, you will begin your orthodontic treatment. You need to return to the practice every six to eight weeks so Dr. Bollin can monitor the progress and make adjustments if necessary. If you ever have any questions or concerns about Invisalign, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
